The most cramazing thing for Christmas

So for the past couple days I have been driving around MY brand new 2007 Chevy HHR!!! Mom got a super deal on it so she snagged it. She was going to try and hide it until Christmas but she decided against that. It is so PLUSH. It's navy blue (with the glitter metallic flakes), with a chrome kit, running boards, roof rack, XM radio, iPod jack, leather interior, 2.4L engine, and did I mention 30 MPG highway! It was weird driving something where the stearing and the breaking are so responsive when I'm used to driving old trucks. It is a hatchback that looks like a modernized version of the old surf wagons. Super cool.

So I don't have much to say. Except this class is pretty dumb and I'm really excited to not have to take it next year. Actually, I'm excited to not have to take anything here next year. Hmm... now that I think about it, there are a lot of things that I'm exicted for right now. I will make a list for you:
(1) DRIVING! [19 days!]
(2) not coming to school next year, as long as all goes according to plan
(3) taking Spanish next year
(4) college, super excited for college
(5) Christmas and seeing my sister

So yeah, it's fun to have things to look forward to. It makes the more mundane things seem a little more than pointless. And it makes my life seem a little more than useless.

So we only brought home one trophy from the meet yesterday. We got 2nd in inspection. Not too bad. Not as good as we could've done though. With not a lot of practice in between meets and an alternate that had little to no practice it wasn't terrible. We are totally gonna whoop tail at Springstead's meet in January though. We are having a cookout at my house today so that should be fun. It also means I'll get none of my work done but whatev.

I love it when I realize the allusions made in media or understand the meaning of a word after having learned it. I was watching a little bit of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" the other day and Saalem the cat was dressed up like a bird. He was like, "Quoth the raven, 'No way!'". I totally understood where it came from. It was cool. ~bj

Hey guys,
So I applied for this poetry scholarship the other day. I didn't really expect anything to come out of it but I guess the deadline was yesterday and so I just figured what the heck, I've got nothing to lose... So anyway, I got an email this afternoon that said I'm a topical winner! I don't get any money or anything, but my poem gets published in this book that they're trying to sell to everyone. I'm obviously not buying one, but it's just a cool recognition cause less than 2% of the entries get published in the anthology mine will be in. Yay!

Hey Guys!- I just took my module three exam and got an 82.6666...! I know that doesn't sound amazing but given my first test was open book and I got an 83 and I failed my last test... I'm pretty excited. Hooray! Work is worth something sometimes. ~bj
