So, today has been a day on the computer for me, so I could not help beng on here a lot. This is for you Mo. This is the picture of Bob Dylan that the lead singer reminds me of. See what I mean? Bob does not always look like this, this is just the one I think of. It is funny, because even some of the Fratellis' lyrics remind me of Bob Dylan. Well, while I am at it, here is the Henrietta video, as well as one on this really cool thing called "jumpstyle." You should watch the video and then wiki jumpstyle. It has something or other to do with the "skanking" that Wonky has been talking about, but the wiki thing explains better. It is so weird how things are connected. Just listen to this:
-I watched an ipod commercial with a song on it that I though was really cool
-I looked up ipod's commercials on wiki and discovered that the song I liked so much was one called "flathead" by some band with the weird name the Fratellis
-I then look up the Fratellis and fall in love with them
-I watch a ton of their videos and stumble upon a jumpstyle video done to one of their songs
-I explore jumpstyle and decide it is really cool
-I wiki jumpstyle which connects me to skanking, which of course leads me to the lovely wonky
Just think, one ipod commercial got me going on a several month long chain of events that would eventually lead me to one of my hippest friends. Cool Huh? Well here are those videos:

Uh hum... is that a cigarette I see in his hand? You are not allowed to fall in love with any boys who even think about smoking... But they do look similar in those pictures. They seem like a fun group of guys.
There was a guy that auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance that was the self-proclaimed jumpstyle champion of America. He wore a gold face mask and seemed really stupid to me. They let him try the choreography but he didn't make it to Vegas. Anyway, I'll watch you're video and see if he really was a champion... ~bj
Yeah, they do look alike. I forgot to mention earlier that I something else that made me say I heart them was because of his wicked sweet white guy fro. :)

Agreed. We are so lame to be on here like 30 times a day... Are all their videos in black and white? And it might have been just me or youtube, but it seemed like his lips weren't matching his song. I liked the song though.
Jumpstyle definitely looks cooler with more than one person. That should be our next talent, Christina. ~bj
I dont love them, I love the music they make (and the white guy fro). But like I said, mouthly cleanlines is not common among the scottish/brittish, in speech or literally.
Yeah, I saw that guy with the mask in the choreography, but I did not see his audition. My family has watched a few episodes of So You Think You Can Dance, but not very closely.

Wow, I'm loving them more and more. Yeah, their lips were definitely NOT matching up. Literal mouthly cleanliness? Eww... So this may sound like a stupid question (but, hey it's me you dealing with, meaning geography? no) What's the difference between Scottish and British? Which one are they?
Oh man, and that jumpstyle thing? I was smiling the whole time. It's pretty wicked sweet but from what I know of skanking that's not it. Skanking is like throw-down dancing to crazy ska music or something...at least from what I know. Not that I have experience in the are or anything..or do I? It looks like some crazed rendition of DDR if you ask me.
Yeah, bj, we should do that, WHILE doing the other thing. hehe :)

Dude, Mo, read the wiki thing, I am sure that it is what Lea is talking about! O.K., so Scotland is connected to the top of England, the whole land mass being a relatively small island(in comparison to other continents). The band is Scottish, but the bad habbits are all pretty common over there. Just as added info, Ireland is the small island off the side of England. O.K. that is all,
~K.D.
That was stupid, I meant countries, not continents!!~K.D.
I was waiting for someone else to post something...yeah, I know (NERD!) But yeah, you're right...wiki is the almighty knowledge provider for useless info like that and that does sound like what Lea was saying. Plus it says something right there about skanking. I'm sorry I ever doubted you and your wisdom, K.D. So...are they British, too? Or are you only British if you live in Britain? Or are they collectively British if they come from in that general area?
-Mo
No, they aren't actually british, let's put it this way. The actual relation of the two countries is like us to Canada, Scotland is right over top of Brittan, like Canada to us, they both speak the same language, but it is very diferent sounding in each place, like Canada to here. BUT, I believe that the Scottish are a bit more similar to the Brittish than we are to the Canadians, when speking in terms of national personality. So the band is only Scottish. Now that is all just what I think, it is possible that I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that is the way it all goes down over there.

Goodness gracious you guys are on here all the frickin'time. 'Tis my first time commenting on this one and 'tis #10. If you think these Scottys are bad then watch Trainspotting...actually don't watch Trainspotting 'tis too scary.
I still can't watch videos cuz I'm on dial-up. DSL is coming soon I'm so excited. I have seen Flathead before though. SCANTILY CLAD WOMEN OF THE NIGHT!!!
~CARL
BTW I got to meet cutie-pie Travis with a mohawk from So You Think You Can Dance and Wonky asked him about cake.
~CARL
