My flight leaves tomorrow at 7:40am, that means 0400 wake up...crap. I may bring a computer so that I can talk to you guys but I will only be able to use it a little bit at night. Going off to Oklahoma all by my one-sies is a little scary but I am confident I will be okay. I would have liked to go to your recital BJ, give me a heads up on the next one so I can get a ticket. I did have fun at Rachel's party though. I totally smeared Ben, Scott, and Kristen at Texas Hold 'em.

Hi, I just read all of you alls quotes and posts! So, everyone seems to be having a rocking summer which I think you all totally deserve. Summer, I have never known a word soooooo sweet. I can't believe how nice the pictures came out of Mrs. Sim's board.
To Ms. Mo': I'll swim when ever is good for you, I was thinking mornings so we don't get too burnt. Hehe let me know. For a closing note, I'm watching "Boy Meets World", I really forgot how funny some 90's shows are. What A Day!

So a couple amazing things happened. I went to Fantasy of Flight in Lakeland which is pretty much like airplane Disney Land. On the way home we stopped at Guitar Center. "Great! I will just run in, get the strings I need and get out" I told my mommy. Well like a kid in a candy store I got kind of distracted and my mom wasn't helping with her pointing everywhere like an air traffic controller. I have wanted a new acoustic for a while. Not that mine is real bad (actually its a lot better now with new strings on it) but it is a cheap starter guitar and an upgrade would be really nice. Especially a Spanish nylon string guitar...I have been drooling over them ever since I had lessons with my flamenco-playing teacher. Low and behold I got drawn in to the "Acoustic Barn" and started looking at such guitars. Oops I slipped and fell and love with this handcrafted Rodriguez...price tag says a grand. Why do I have to have such good taste? Anyway I got out with strings, Incubus sheet music, and a free Guitar Center catalog. Who is in this catalog? Señor Rodriguez expensive pants and an ad for a Eric Clapton and friends guitar festival in Chicago (friends being John Mayer, BB King, and Sheryl Crow just to name a few). You guys know my mom is crazy right? Just in case you didn't she is buying the Rodriguez (although I am at least pitching in $500 to her dismay) and we are off to Chicago for a very special weekend in July.

Mama always says...

Yeah, yeah, I know. Stupid is as stupid does. And I still don't really understand that quote, but whatev. I NEED HELP! I've got some stupid questions. Ok, so when you're reading chords for a song and they just have one capital letter above the word, that means to play that chord and not the note, right? And in tabs, when it just has one number on one line, you only play that one string? AND when you're playing like a C# (C sharp, right?) I know which note to hold down, but do you only strum that one string or do you strum all 6? Whoever can answer all these questions I would be very much grateful...even though I probly sound like an idiot.

Yeah, it is way sweet, it's yellow and has a small stuffed banana, a picture of some dude, and a cow patch saftey pinned on it. It is exactly like the bottom one, but I figured the top was a better look. It is just like that one too except the cambells patches are those other things I was talking about. But my bag is not exactly why I was posting. I was wondering if you all wanted to go do something tomorrow, and then go get free root beer floats at Sonic after eight o'clock. We could see a movie or something.

I wonder what life would be like with no fingers...

Ok guys, so to fill you in...I decided yesterday that I am going to teach myself to play guitar. Because I am tired of wanting to do things and then never doing them. So anyways, I'm all excited about it now. I found this online lesson and I know about 6 chords and I figured out how to work the electric tuner. And I've been practicing like a crazy because I love it so much. But now my fingers hurt so bad, and I feel like they're going to fall off. I think I rubbed off all the sensory nerves on the top because a lot of the feeling is gone and now all the while I'm sitting here wondering when exactly they're just going to fall off completely...

So cleaning my room today (gasp!) I found John Mayer's Heavier Things. My first love! It takes me back to a crappy yet familiar place...6th grade! KD I can't believe you like the Fratellis (or however you spell their name). Not that its not like you, but they came out recently....not 1979.

Hey kids
So I went to the oral surgeon today (AND the orthodontist) and we finally have a date set for my surgery. Just thought someone might like to know... It'll be the 8th of August. Oh and this may mean no swim team...but we shall always see. Ooh, and my new favorite song at the moment is Beautiful Disaster by Jon Mclaughlin - check it, you will like it. And if you don't have anything to do, the music videos for "it ends tonight" and "move along" are pretty sweet.

Ya Ya Ya

So I think nobody has been posting cuz we haven't been doing anything. I commanded color guard at graduation. I stayed for the whole long frickin thing. I wouldn't have cried if it weren't for Kristen crying and that Rascal Flatts song. Colonel Crigger wore a floral shirt and board shorts to Marijane's Hawaiian-themed graduation party it was pretty much amazing. Grrr online classes start tomorrow. Okay good-bye! -CARL
